Note: This CARPET CLEANING technician position largely operates in Polk County Florida with additional work in adjacent counties. We are currently constructing an office building in Winter Haven Florida where supplies and support are located. IMPORTANT: This is a profit sharing position. You receive a share of every job performed, the result is a position that pays far more than the standard hourly wage but requires you are highly organized and can work well with our customers. *** Our Trucks Use an APEX 570 Cleaning Machine. Knowledge of it's use is an important factor. If you do not know how to use a mounted carpet cleaning machine DO NOT apply for this job. Restoration and Carpet Cleaning Technician Responsibilities - Effectively perform all carpet cleaning and restoration services the company offers, this includes different types of carpets, upholstery and tile cleaning.
(Note: Compensation levels will reflect the skill level of the Technician. Hourly rate increases as the ability to perform water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Time training is not compensated as you must be prepared to perform the job.) - Communicate effectively with customers.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Inspect completed work.
- Communicate and respond to communications from the team immediately.
- Effectively Pioneer for new customers on an as needed basis.
- Complete the technicians daily log.
- Complete Work Orders.
- Complete appropriate restoration documentation.
- Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
- Maintain inventory of related supplies.
Carpet Cleaning Technician Qualifications - Carpet Cleaning Experience with a carpet cleaning company.
- APEX 570 Cleaning Machine OR MOUNT TRUCK Cleaning Machine Experience, special note: You will need to have somewhere to park the vehicle when it is not in use.
- Experience Cleaning Upholstery, Tile and a variety of Carpets, this includes the ability to identify proper procedures for each type of material without damaging it.
- Communication Skills. MUST communicate with dispatch between every job and every customer visited AND fully photograph and document every job performed.
- Job can require pioneering for new customers on an as needed basis.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
- Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: A bonus but not required. Certification in performing appropriate services: Water Mitigation, Mold, etc.
