At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare, well-being benefits, paid family leave as well as generous paid time off. Starting Pay: $28.50-$35.50
Position Summary This position is expected to have 1-3 years of credit analysis experience. A good understanding of processes, policies, regulation and rules is expected at this level. This position is responsible for spreading and analyzing commercial and consumer financial information. The analysis is compiled into a Credit Approval Form. These tasks will be completed under limited supervision. Acts as a resource for the lending team, identifying and analyzing risk as well as performing research as needed. As a member of the Credit Administration team, this individual will assist with overall credit administration through specific assigned tasks. This individual will be held accountable for credit quality and personal goals.
Primary Accountabilities - Fully understand and implement all aspects of all loan policies and bank regulations.
- Meets or exceeds all goals established.
- Attends department and bank meetings as required.
- Accepts other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Abides by all bank policies and procedures.
- The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed.
- May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Commercial Analysts :
- Spreads financial information by using the bank’s financial software.
- Perform analysis as requested and on loan relationships generally greater than $1,000,000 in aggregate credit exposure. These relationships have a degree of complexity but will not be the largest or most complex relationships in the bank’s portfolio.
- Complete Credit Approval Forms (CAF) for credit relationships greater than $1,000,000.
- Retail and Business Banking Analysts :
- Underwrite and decision retail loan requests within loan policy and designated authority.
- Recommend loan decisions based upon overall credit analysis.
- Ability to perform all loan origination functions. This includes analysis, loan structuring, underwriting, document preparation and quality control.
Position Qualifications Education: - Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalency
