Locums - Pediatrics Hospitalist Mountain Home, ArkansasAvailability / Schedule

• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• Shift Type: Day, Swing, Weekend
• Schedule:
• 1 weekend per month
• Friday 5:00 PM - Monday morning
• Home call permitted - must be able to respond within 30 minutes

Call Details

• Pediatric Hospitalist needed for weekend call coverage
• Must round once daily (Saturday & Sunday) in:
• Inpatient med-peds unit
• Newborn nursery

• Other coverage can be handled by phone unless an in-person response is neededClinical Responsibilities
• Patient Types:
• Newborn Nursery - Avg. 5 babies over weekend
• Inpatient Med-Peds Unit - Very low volume (1-2 patients)
• ER Coverage - Avg. 2-3 calls/day, typically handled by phone

• Procedures Required:
• Intubation
• Line placement
• Infant stabilization (in case of transfer)
• No circumcision requiredRequirements
• Licensure:
• Must hold an active Arkansas medical license
• Not willing to license
• Certifications:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• New grads accepted
• Start Timeline:
• Must be available to start within 4-5 weeksFacility & Reason for Opening
• Reason for Locum Need:
• Current physician out for back surgery; backup coverage fell through
• Setting: Hospital-based with newborn nursery and med-peds inpatient unit
• Call Response Time: 30 minutesReferral Bonus
