About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Ag/Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, confirming creditworthiness, and improving the loan application process by communicating additional requirements to applicants. This role also involves the rejection of loans with clear explanations of deficiencies, as well as the approval of loans and assisting customers with their inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is eager to be part of a growing institution and is capable of taking over and expanding an established portfolio. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Ag or Commercial Loan Officer, with a strong background in credit and a business development mindset. Leadership aspirations, a team-first mentality, and the ability to expand client relationships and cross-sell bank products are essential. Familiarity with the sales, commercial loan processing, and closing processes, as well as a working knowledge of the agricultural industry, is also required. The role demands a candidate who is loyal, hard-working, and possesses good communication skills, with the ability to multitask quickly and effectively.
